Another weapon against pain!
Flexible therapy pad (approximately 16" x 8") embedded with 120 light emitting diodes (LEDs) that can be placed anywhere on the body for instant red light therapy. Convenient design and easy to use, comes with an AC adapter that plugs into the pad, and an elastic velcro wrap to hold it in place, if needed.
Each diode has one (1) 660 nm wavelength emitter and two (2) 850 nm wavelength emitters. The 660 nm visible light penetrates more superficial structures, while the 850 nm invisible (near infrared) light generates radiant heat that penetrates deeper.
Light at these wavelengths have the property of photobiomodulation, which means it can change the physiology of biological tissue (another example is how ultraviolet light initiates Vitamin D conversion in the skin). With the visible red wavelengths, the effect is a boost in cell signaling, leading to increased circulation, increased ATP production, and an inhibitory effect on the inflammatory process (inflammation), which further reduces pain. Many research studies confirm the photobiomodulating properties of red light. You can actually feel pain dissipate as you use it!
For spinal pain, place the pad under the affected area (directly on skin) and lie on top of it for 20 minutes.
For extremity pain, wrap it around the affected area (arm, elbow, leg, knee, foot, etc.) and hold it in place by wrapping the included elastic band around it.
You can even use this device to treat skin conditions on your face.
Choosing between the 660 nm and 850 nm emitters is possible by pressing the power button 2 to 3 times in sequence. This is good if you don't want the heat generated by the 850 nm emitters; just the therapeutic 650 nm red light; or if you just want the heat.
You can also use the device in pulse mode by holding the power button down for three seconds.
